Conducting Oneself in High Places

I remember how eagerly me and my friends was searching for triund trek long back, when we saw one of the its pictures for the first time on some travel portal. That day we decided to visit Triund. Triund was the only word that echoed in my mind like an alarm whenever i heard the word Dharamshala.

It was mid October, clouds were fizzy and lively.
After reaching mecleodganj which is around 10 kms from Dharamshala., a hunt for a quiet place away from the hustle-bustle of the town led us to settle at one Guest house near to the trekking spot, which sounded much more interesting and adventurous than normal hotel we had searched for.
The guest house was of Rs 500 per night which i suppose is cheapest and excellent place to stay if one is looking for a quiet, less-crowded, and rustic place, which is surrounded by the Massive trees and offers the best view of majestic Triund hills.

In Mcleodganj ,Dalai lama temple and Tibetan market are must visit places that easily consume half- a-day, if one has enough time to roam around in market area for shopping and trying tibetan cuisine.

St. john's church is another beautiful spot which is on the way to mcleodganj at Forsyth gunj. The church is surrounded with lusty shed of beautiful trees. It is known for its belgian stained- glass windows donated by lady elgin.

Next morning at around 9 am i started my long awaited trek to triund from my guest house along with my friends. We started our journey and reached at Dhramkot which is common point to go further if one is coming from either bhagsu or Mcleodganj.
The route is sorrounded with massive trees along with mud houses, alpine trees and colourful prayer flags.

Disclaimer- Here one can find Rhododendron flowers which are a tasty way to prevent dehydration.
Also beware of local dogs as they are not very friendly to strangers here.
One has to reach guna devi temple, which serves a base who intend to go further to triund. It is of pure 6 km trek from here.
There is a small shop where one can buy water bottle or snacks. I brought water bottle from there and resumed my trek from thereon.
The trek is one of the easiest and convenient for the beginner. There are two cafes on the way, one can sit, relax and  enjoy munchies along with breathtaking views of the entire kangra valley.

Here i take another opportunity to reflect my experience of triund where my pictures are telling larger stories than my words.
When you are more excited than your friends to reach at the top. :D

Who needs a cushy couch when you have this beauty.

Picture perfect

Conversation with clouds
A beautiful sunset that we discovered at around 5pm
Note- Try to reach there at around 2pm so that you can amaze yourself with the beauty and make your most of the time relaxing here. And try not to miss this beautiful sunset.
Sitting here with so close to nature was most mesmerizing moment that never happened before.

And the best part is to sit under the sky warm oneself at a fire when temperature is below 5 degree C during October night.
Sharing memories with your squad or with your partner at this beautiful moment when sky is full of twinkling stars is most happening moment one can enjoy.

Next day, I manage to wake up early in the morning to see this beautiful sunrise. One can never afford to miss this flabbergasting scenery.
Morning like this will make you more ambiguous about here's weather. One can not define between morning and evening clouds. Here clouds are always in their mood to swing around the mountains.

Here you can find snow between Dec to Feb. The mountains become more slippery and risky at that time. Best time to visit Triund is from mid March to Mid October.

Returning from this place was never so happening for us. Some places are meant to be remembered and Triund is one of them. One can never get off from this place.
Each trip makes you learn some very interesting points of life and that what Triund taught us.
And at the end of our trip we all make one promise to visit this place together once again. Hope to Rejuvenate our journey once again.
